Criteria for Patient Registration Scholarship Attendance

Purpose
The CRAACO Registration Scholarship Program is an opportunity for patients who’ve experienced a clinical trial to attend the CRAACO conference, September 16, 2024 at Lowes Philadelphia Hotel in Philadelphia, PA. The purpose is to provide an opportunity for eligible patients experienced in clinical trials to share their feedback with industry on how to improve clinical trial design and patient experience.

How Many Full Registration Scholarships
There are 15 registration scholarships to attend the event. Past registration scholarship recipients are welcome to apply, but priority goes to patients who have not yet attended.

Criteria
• Experience participating in a clinical trial as a patient or caregiver
• Prior involvement in patient advocacy, i.e., experience at group level, attendance at other meetings, constituents to share learnings
• If you are a consultant or employed by a commercial entity, you must disclose this. If provided with a patient scholarship to attend, you accept that you will represent yourself as a patient advocate and not your consulting or commercial entity. In addition, you cannot promote or solicit business on behalf of your consultancy or commercial entity.

Registration scholarships are reserved for patients experienced in a clinical trial and their caregivers only. Clinical professionals, including physicians, nurses, coordinators, social workers, counselors can register for the conference at the discounted registration rate that corresponds to their industry. Executives from patient advocacy organizations qualify for the non-profit rate, but do not qualify for the patient registration scholarships. Industry executives can register for the conference at the registration rate that corresponds to their industry. Registration information is available on the registration fees page.

What the Registration Scholarship Covers
Attendee fee for the conference day, access to networking and exhibit information, lunch and conference related materials. The scholarship does not cover any travel/accommodation related costs.

How the Selection Process Works
1. Application date is open
2. Applications must be received by August 16th, 2024
3. Eligibility is based on having experienced a clinical trial and advocacy
4. Each application will be assessed on a case-by-case basis
5. All decisions are final and will be announced no later than August 30th. Registration scholarships are non-transferable.

What will be Expected of the Patient/Caregiver During the Conference
Registration Scholarship attendees are expected to be present for the majority of the meeting and agree to provide their feedback in the evaluation form.

All registration scholarship attendees accept that they will represent themselves throughout the duration of the conference. If employed as a consultant or by a commercial entity, you accept that you will not promote or solicit business on behalf of your consulting or commercial entity.
